Things to master before you turn 40

The Day - Judge Spellman s DUI arrest won t impact his $113,000-a-year pension - News from southeastern Connecticut

After Judge Steven Spellman s arrest last week on a charge of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, his brother, Groton City police Chief Michael Spellman, told The Day that the judge would face consequences for his actions. Indeed, the Noank judge s prominence led to a much-read news story in which police relayed reports of Spellman appearing intoxicated, stumbling outside a grocery store at 6:15 p.m., before getting behind the wheel of a car. The shame of that is certainly consequential. I appreciate that the judge promptly apologized and suggested he is getting help for his problem. I am sure we all wish him well with that.

Why Employees Across India Still Prefer Parking Their Money In The EPF

Why employees across India still prefer parking their money in the EPF Easy withdrawal, especially during emergencies, has made this old stalwart a sought-after option, to the extent that many voluntarily contribute more money to the fund (VPF). However, the NPS offers asset allocation, something the EPF doesn’t. January 22, 2021 / 06:34 PM IST Mumbai-based Malvika Chavan, 27, who worked as a guest relations executive at a hotel, lost her job last April amid the coronavirus outbreak. A couple of months on, she still hadn’t found a job and was finding it hard to make ends meet, with her savings getting depleted. Considering that she had been unemployed for 60 days, Chavan was able to dip into her Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) kitty for funds till she found another job.
